Richmax and Bronxton
Both the RICHMAX and BRONXTON
affixes were registered when we started with Staffordshire Bull Terriers in 1992. RICHMAX
was a sole owned affix registered in my name, while BRONXTON was registered in the name of
my son, Johan Richards and Huntly
Pringle. The reason for this was to seperate the black brindles and the red dogs in
two different kennels. Since the beginning of 1998 the BRONXTON affix was signed over to
me by Johan and Huntly into a sole owned affix in my name. Our aim is to breed dogs that
adhere to the breed standard and we have been, with the grace of God, successful in
achieving a good rate of success.

Ch Richmax Trigger
The RICHMAX dogs are very much line bred based on the two KUSA National dogs of 1989
and 1991 i.e the late Ch. The Brown Bomber of Westmax and the late Ch. Millenium Bunty of Odenda respectively. The
RICHMAX line also features Spadille breeding from the UK, primarily Ch. Spadille Sandawana
Satan and Ch. Spadille Silhouette of Sandawana.
We started with Ogusto Billy Boy of Richmax, who won his first Best Puppy at open show
level when he was only four months old and went on to win Best on Show at the Open Trophy
Show of Pretoria Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club when he was only seven months and two
weeks old. He went on and won one CC, one Best of Breed and three RCC's during his show
career. He is now the father of four RSA champions.
Needless to say that from that moment on we were hooked on the show ring. Six
champions have been bred under the RICHMAX affix. Ch. Richmax Trigger, the only
Stafford in South Africa to have been invited to the three prestige shows (i.e.Supreme
Puppy, Junior Dog of the Year and Dogmore Dog of the Year), is also the winner of the
Stafford of the Year and Champion of the Year trophies of The Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Club of Transvaal for 1996 and winner for the Top Stafford for 1996 and Top Dog 1996
trophies of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of Natal. Ch Richmax Trigger was
shown during the 2001 show season in the Veteran class and won two two point
CC's and a Reserve Best of Breed. The other champions are Ch. Richmax Steffie (a daughter of Trigger), Ch. Richmax
Horatius, Ch. Richmax Belleza, Ch Richmax Belle Noite(AI) and her litter brother Ch Richmax Blue
Blood(AI).
Ch Richmax Trigger
BRONXTON breeding, on the other hand, was strongly based on the two top red dogs ever
in South Africa, Ch. Magliam the Bronx Bull of Tenacious,
who was imported from the UK by Rob and Eleanor du Plooy and UK & SA Ch. Pitbul Red
Regent who was brought to South Africa by his owner/breeder, the late Ken Fensom. The
first BRONXTON litter produced six pups of which two, Ch.Bronxton Darius (the only Stafford
to win two Best Puppy's on Show at All Breed Show level) and Ch. Bronxton Dame Zeus of
Chassuki achieved their championship status.

Ch Bronxton Darius
Bronxton Duke, their litter brother, had four CC points when he died from
snake bite. His only litter, a dog and a bitch, will be in the show ring soon. Ch.
Bronxton Darius also became the first South African Stafford to be used for the export of
semen to our good friends the Reeders in Australia who pioneered this initiative. His
first litter has been born "down under". We were fortunate to obtain a grandson
of Ch. Pitbul Red Regent, Biarmicus Pavlov the Red of Richmax ("Pavlov") at the
age of 9 years. His first litters were born and the offspring are doing quite well
in the ring, with Bronxton Miss Supreme (Disa) winning two RCC's with the last two shows
in Gauteng during October 1999. She went on and win during the 2000 show year
two 2 - point CC's and another two RCC's. She went on and win during 2001two
RCC's, 2 two point CC's,2 Reserve Best of Breed and a Best of Breed at Pretoria
Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club, the biggest Stafford Show in South Africa. She
become Champion during 2001. Bronxton Lady Noeschka won two Best
Puppy Certificates during the 2000 show season and did well during 2001
show season. A new one in the show ring in 2002 was Bronxton Elmo's
Fire,
a son to Ch Bronxton Darius, who won a CC and three RCC's. Bronxton Elmo's Fire
gained his championship status during 2003. Ch Mzuri Cindy of Bronxton - a
daughter of Ch Bronxton Darius - gained her title in October 2004.
Our dogs, and offspring of our dogs are doing well in the show ring. This include
Ch.Diexstiff Black Ice (Three 2-point CCs and six RCC's.) Ch.Diexstiff Ebony Girl of
Macharae (three 2-point CCs and nine RCC's), Ch.Diexstiff Spoiled Secret (four 2-point CCs

point CC. We believe that they will obtain their champion status one of
these days! The Artificial insemination Puppies bred from the imported semen from
the UK are up and about. Thanks to Prof Johan Nothling for his help. Richmax
Belle Noite won three Best Puppy Certificates and one two point CC and one RCC
all from the Puppy Class. She went on in 2001 and won 3 RCC's, 7 two point CC's,
one Reserve Best of Breed and two Best of Breeds. Her two litter brothers both did well and Richmax Blue
Blood won one Best Puppy and One RCC also from the Puppy Class. During 2001 show
season he won 3 two point CC's and 3 RCC's and achieve his championship status. He only came
second to his brother Richmax Black Bomber. Richmax Black Bomber won 3 RCC's
during 2001.
New puppies are ready to enter the show ring and as soon as the above
mentioned dogs obtained their titles, we will be entering the ring with the young ones. We
can not wait for that day!
We also were privileged to import two dogs out of two very prominent kennels in the UK and hope that they will
also contribute to the betterment of our dogs. Nethertonion King O' The
Ring (Jimmy) won 2 RCC's, 2 two point CC's and a Best of Breed during 2001.
During 2002 he won another two point CC and during 2003 4 best of breeds. He is
now a champion and is doing well in the show ring. His
first daughter - Jonic Princess Petite - won a RCC at her first show as a junior
and went on winning another three RCC's during 2002 while her her litter brother Jonic Prince Thunder a two point
CC and three RCC's. Another daughter of Jimmy - Agoe Shady Lady won during 2003
one two point CC and three RCC's. She gained another two two point CC's and
achieved her championship status in 2005. Ch Agoe Shady Lady and Ch
Capstone Simply Black (two daughters of Jimmy gained their titles in
2004).
Frankie - Knockon Make Or Break of Richmax - is producing
excelent offspring. His offspring - Ch Sylon Bliksem ( 70 CC points up to
now), Ch Sylon Demar's Alpha of Deman (Five CC points), Ch Richmax Dream
Maker (six CC's) and Richmax Take Note (four RCC's) Ch
Richmax Buffalo Bill of Jacerese (five CC), Ch Richmax Think Twice
of Lohengrin (six CC's) is at the
moment dominating the show ring in South Africa. Ch (USA) Richmax Shaka Zulu
gained his title in the USA.
In the whole process of trying to improve our dogs and trying to breed
that special dog or bitch, we do believe that it is all in the hands of the Ultimate
Breeder and that we are only His tool here.
